Bringing together dancers, musicians, and singers on stage, the PPS Danse project aims to create connections between disciplines and incorporate multiple choreographic signatures. These different perspectives converge towards a story that portrays our world, evoking themes of love, identity, and territory. Pieces such as Le tour de l’île by Félix Leclerc, La scène by Claude Léveillée, Señorita by Richard Desjardins, are presented alongside Câlisse-moi là by Lisa LeBlanc, Ton vieux nom by Elisapie, Fleuve No 1 by Flore Laurentienne or Tmrw. by Milk & Bone. The diversity of melodic and choreographic writing is combined with words and music to open up a world of possibilities.
Perles proposes a non-linear path through time, words and music that have impact on our society. This journey invites dance and music to meet in different places and make pearls of Quebec song from the 1960s to the present time resonate.
