Petite Amie is a psychedelic pop-rock band from Mexico City. Their first self-titled LP came out in 2021, rapidly placing them amongst Mexico’s most talked about rising bands in the alternative rock scene. Characterized by sweet vocals, sung in French and Spanish, acoustic guitars, enveloping synthesizers, fuzzy guitar solos and prominent drums, their sound fluctuates between different genres, based on psychedelic pop-rock. Their main influences include classics such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and more recent sounds such as Big Thief, Magic Potion, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Crumb.
Their next album Hay Veces will be released in the fall of 2024 under Spanish label Sonido Muchacho.

Thanks to the success of their first album, Petite Amie quickly gained international interest. In 2021, the group was selected to perform at the online edition of South By Southwest (SXSW) and at the Freakout! Festival in Seattle. Seattle-based iconic KEXP also invited the group to perform a live session. Interest in the band has grown in the US thanks to airplay from various radio stations, such as NPR, and LA’s KCRW, where the band's debut album reached number 2 on the station’s Top 30, as well as exposure from Spotify’s EQUAL campaign, which featured prominent Mexican female-led music projects in spaces such as Times Square in NYC. Furthermore, Petite Amie has been invited to perform as the opening act for top international acts such as L'Impératrice, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Kerala Dust.
The band has also created a history of successful performances in the US and Canada, earning a spot in some of the most popular indie music festivals, such as the Treefort Festival in 2023.
In Mexico, Petite Amie has become one of the fastest rising bands from the alternative scene and has built a track record of exceptional live performances. As such the band has performed in the Bahidorá Festival and Trópico, where they shared the stage with top international acts. Only last summer, Petite Amie played a sold out show in Mexico’s City iconic House of Vans. They also holds a special place in the hearts of some of the most influential alternative music radio stations and platforms such as Radio Ibero 90.9 and Marvin, having performed in their much anticipated comeback festivals. They have performed showcases for Rolling Stone’s “In My Room” sessions, Vans Channel 66, and Amazon Music MX. Petite Amie has also gained attention from some of the country’s most accomplished alternative artists such as Latin Grammy Award-winning Hello Seahorse!, and Girl Ultra who invited the group to open their long awaited return show in Mexico City.
