On Dino, his second single to be unveiled this year, FELP (aka Felix Petit) takes us on a tumultuous journey back in time. Following last month’s release of Babyfoot, a collaboration with Klô Pelgag, the composer, beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist joins forces with the Montreal-based artist Laurence-Anne, who wrote the lyrics of this new song.
With her angular poetry, delivered in a cryptic, rhythmic way, Laurence-Anne playfully questions the prehistoric period, underlining our limited interpretations of archaeological findings. Simultaneously, FELP compiles an impressionistic soundscape made up of his soaring saxophone and experimental electronic music. The result is a calculated, chaotic track, that skillfully blends its beat with the moody, hazy voice of Laurence-Anne, with whom he previously performed live, and co-produced her sophomore effort Musivision.
