Jonathan Personne, also known for his role as singer and guitarist in the band Corridor, now presents a music video for Deux yeux au fond d'une pièce noire, taken from his eponymous album released last summer. This Saturday, June 10th, the singer-songwriter will be performing on the SiriusXM stage at the Francos de Montréal.
In line with the album's candid yet sinister imagery, Deux yeux au fond d'une pièce noire is about premonition and spirits, and is inspired by incidents that took place at Jonathan Personne's cottage. Initially conceived as one of the album's mellower tracks, it eventually evolved into one of its most intense. The music video, directed by Liam Hamilton, features a unique animation style that combines hand-drawn illustrations with collages created from cut-outs of Jonathan Personne singing and playing guitar.
More shows are planned for Jonathan Personne this summer. In addition to playing the Festival OFF in Quebec City on July 13th, he will be hitting Europe in August for concerts at Le Supersonic in Paris, La Route du Rock festival in Saint-Malo and Le X in Brussels.
