After releasing his critically acclaimed debut album in 2018, Dave Chose returns with a double single featuring Poffes and De l'inconvénient d'être né, two very personal and distinctive songs. They demonstrate the variety of musical influences that have marked the Montreal-based artist’s repertoire. Veering more towards rock, Poffes is catchy and full of pop-punk influences, revealing his emo side. De l'inconvénient d'être né is a rhythmic, atmospheric ballad inspired by the musical universe of Thom Yorke. The song’s title was borrowed from a book by philosopher Emil Cioran.
