After releasing the music video for Topographe, Corridor is back with a second single off their third album Junior, due out on October 18th. On Domino, the band’s mixture of seriousness and whimsy is on full display and showcases their best feature; purposeful and skilled songcraft that leaves room for the musicians to let loose. Clash Magazine even called the song a mighty guitar pop epic.
Being the first song written for Junior, the band has already performed Domino several times. Singer/guitarist Jonathan Robert explains: People often glorify what being an artist or a musician means. Art doesn’t necessarily make you a better person. There can be angst, stress and so on. It can have a negative, direct impact on the people closest to you. Domino is about navigating just that.
This fall, the band will embark on a tour of nearly 20 dates in North America and Europe. Besides Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Seattle, Paris, Berlin and London, four shows are scheduled in Canada. To our great pleasure, Corridor will stop by [Le National on November 22nd, as part of M for Montreal. In the meantime, pre-order Junior from the Bonstore.
