Les Louanges

Les Louanges showcases the emblematic Montreal park on the exhilarating song Central Park La Fontaine

Les Louanges presents Central Park La Fontaine, an introspective feel-good track that serves as an epilogue to Crash (his second album, released in 2022). This new single follows Sur la mélodie, a collaboration with French rapper and singer Ichon that was released last February.

The song, which unfolds in several parts, was written on his balcony during a time when Vincent Roberge (aka Les Louanges) lived in front of the emblematic Montreal park. Central Park La Fontaine begins with a contemplative intro before evolving into a dense cacophony of exalted synths. The song culminates with string arrangements (a first for the artist) coupled with a flute and a saxophone. There's no doubt that the song, which showcases once again Les Louanges' versatility, will become a classic of his repertoire.

Lyrically, the singer-songwriter delivers yet another personal and symbolic text. One can find references to the Crow in The Fox and the Crow (Lafontaine’s famous fable), as well as to the balcony in Romeo and Juliet. These elements play a prominent role in the song’s music video, directed by Alex Acy and Vincent Gravel. The music video showcases Parc La Fontaine across cool toned landscapes and shows Vincent Roberge, exuding a sense of freedom and empowerment.

After returning from a mini-tour in France and Belgium, Les Louanges will perform in Quebec this summer. He will be headlining a show on the SiriusXM stage at Parc de la Francophonie on July 11 as part of the Festival d'été de Québec, and additional festival dates will soon be announced.
